Scott's Comics offers more than 100,000 Comic Books for sale, with a much larger back issue selection than the average comic book store.

Scott's Comics is building a better comic book store through on-line ordering, great customer service, a wide comic book selection, strict grading, and secure credit card transactions. We specialize in 1960's to date comic books.

Scott's Comics is a one-man operation. Scott has been collecting comic books for the last 37 years, and he set up his first comic book show in Tarboro, North Carolina, when he was in 9th grade. During the comic book boom of the early 1990's, Scott ran a part time store in Tarrytown Mall, Rocky Mount, called Scott's Comics. After marriage and with a child on the way, Scott closed the store in 1994 to devote more time to the household. Scott's full time job is a Civil Engineer.

Itching to get back to dealing comic books, he helped at a local comic shop for two years and started selling on the internet in August, 1997. This endeavor was so successful and the site was getting so big that a shopping cart was added in April, 1999. It was one of the first comic book sites with a shopping cart!   In March, 2001, a new and improved site was implemented to track orders.

Finding Comic Books

If you know what you are looking for, use the Search String at the bottom of the left hand of the Home Page.

Comic Book Title Search. Type in the title of the comic you are looking for and the engine will find it. However, the search engine will also search descriptions, so if you type in Spider-Man you will pull up lots of items, including the titles "Amazing Spider-Man", "Sensational Spider-Man", his appearances in "Marvel Team-Up", etc. Please be specific to narrow your search if possible (type Amazing Spider-Man, and you will only get those). Spell the title correctly! For example, Ant-Man never had a comic, but the engine will snag his appearances in Marvel Feature and Marvel Premiere. Team titles do not have this feature. Some artists such as McFarlane are also included, giant issues, sale items, etc. Genre Search. Use the links on the main page to search all the War, Western, Manga, Batman, Superman, etc. titles I have in stock. Cheap Comics Search. Use the links on the main page to search all 99 cents comics or less and the Specials (although the graphic shows 50 cents specials, it is now 99 cents or less). ALL Specials are items that I no longer wish to stock or I have too many copies and their price reduces monthly until they are sold! Scott's Comics deals almost exclusively in comic books. Other items like cards, videos, magazines, and toys are found in the Everything Else catalog, and are not heavily stocked (they take up too much room!!). I would recommend seeking out other dealers if you are primarily looking for this sort of material. I do comics well, and I intend on sticking to that type of product.

Putting Items in Your Shopping Cart will identify them until you check out.   You can remove items from your shopping cart at anytime before finalizing your order. 

Completing Your Purchase To place an order after you have chosen some items to purchase, you will need to choose your shipping method by choosing "Select Shipping". After that, go to "Complete Order." Fill in your billing address and shipping address (if different than billing address). You can also include some notes or comments in the "Special Instructions" block, as questions, etc. Click "Continue to Payment" Special Instructions. Place a note here if you need anything special with your order as additional books or alternates. 

Payment by charge card online. If you plan on paying by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or Discover only), input your credit card information, and this information will be transmitted through the secure server.   Scott's Comics does look out for credit card fraud and I will not fill and ship any order that I am wary about. 

Payment by charge card over the phone. Due to my weird work schedule (remember this is a sideline business for me), and the low number of phone orders, I no longer accept phone orders. Please place your order online. If you are uncomfortable with using a charge card online, I suggest you sending in your order by mail.

Payment by mail. You may send your credit card number, check or money order, or cash to me by mail. Checks may delay your order for 2 weeks for clearance. Money Orders are shipped quickly. If you feel you must send cash, be sure to wrap it securely so it cannot be seen through the envelope. I accept cash through the mail, but advise against it, because I cannot be responsible for monies lost in the mail. The shopping cart will print you an invoice to send with your order. If you do not include an invoice, it will delay your order, as I will have to search for your order manually. At anytime, you may discontinue the transaction. For more information about privacy an credit card safety, keep reading. NOTE: Until payment is received, your order is not processed. If you choose to pay by mail or delay finalizing your order, please understand that some items may go out of stock. 

Delivery

Scott's Comics offers a variety of shipping options designed to balance delivery and cost. Your shipping options will depend on the type and quantity of merchandise you buy and your shipping address. Scott's Comics offers FREE bound printed matter shipping on orders over $50. Orders under $50, shipping starts at only $4.99. All U.S. orders are tracked for free.

Most U.S. orders are shipped on Saturdays, usually the first Saturday after you placed your order, but it is possible depending on when you placed your order it could ship the second Saturday after you placed your order. (checks are the exception and held two weeks for clearance).

Credit Card Safety

Scott's Comics uses a secure server to protect your credit card information and does not release it to any outside organization. If you do not feel comfortable sending your credit card over the internet, you can mail your card information. Other payment options are available for your convenience.
