We ask that you try to work with us before you contact your credit card company with a credit card chargeback. A chargeback is when you contact your credit card company (consumer protection) and you say you are not happy with something or there is a problem. The charge card company returns the funds to you. Scott's Comics will defend itself against all chargebacks. We generally can work out any problems with your purchase.
If you file a chargeback with your credit card company YOU MUST return the items you ordered to Scott's Comics. We will not reimburse the postage.
Consumers may abuse the chargeback mechanism at the expense of merchants. For example, consumers who experience buyer's remorse, or engage in other forms of fraud, by making a chargeback and then try to keep the items ordered.
If you are one of those that wants to abuse the chargeback policies of your credit card, and keep the items ordered (fraud), Scott's Comics will:
- File a small claim court suit against you in which we will ask for the value of the items, court filing fees, process server fees, and if the court will allow, the cost to collect the judgment. You will need to come to North Carolina to defend yourself.
- We will report the fraud to the FBI Internet Crimes Division and your local Police Department.
Scott's Comics will not cheat you, and we don't allow others to cheat us. We are honest sellers and expect honesty from our buyers. Again, if there is a problem, let's work it out.
